    • Advising IFC in connection with the Government of Malawi’s various structures that are available to implement PPPs in Malawi, including conducting and updating comprehensive due diligence reports and describing the legal framework for PPP in Malawi, the regulatory framework relevant to irrigation sector PPPs, lands laws, public finance laws, the necessary approvals and licences for the PPP and environmental laws.
    • Advising clients in connection with all areas of law applicable to the PPP process to become an IPP in Malawi, including conducting a comprehensive due diligence that covered Malawi’s energy laws and regulations, laws relating to public procurement, construction, land and tax and reviewing the project finance agreements, implementation agreements, framework agreements and power purchase agreements.
    • Advising ICON Properties in connection with its conversion into a public company and listing of its shares on the Malawi Stock Exchange in an initial public offering (IPO), making it the first IPO in Malawi after a break of 10 years.
