• Acting for a Kenyan non-governmental organisation in proceedings against the County Education Board and other government entities/officials seeking to prevent the arbitrary conversion of a primary school from an Alternative Provision of Basic Education and Training school to a public school.
• Acting for a leading safari resort and wildlife sanctuary in a multi-agency investigation by the Tourism Regulatory Authority and other Kenyan governmental bodies in connection with alleged compliance and licensing breaches, including advising the client on regulatory strategy, engaging with authorities and mitigating potential enforcement action.
• Advising Watu Credit, a leading asset finance company in East Africa, in connection with its appearance before the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning of the National Assembly of Kenya, for a parliamentary inquiry regarding the regulatory framework governing its operations, including supporting the client in preparing submissions and responding to inquiries by the committee.
• Acting for a market leading irrigation technology company in adjudication proceedings under the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration in relation to an Engineering. Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with an integrated sugar producer in Kenya.
• Advising a global agricultural company in connection with the administration of Mastermind Tobacco Kenya following its insolvency, including advising the client on the administration process and the options available to the company for recovery of unsecured claims arising from unpaid supplies.
• Advising and representing various companies in employment disputes before the Employment and Labour Relations Court.
• Advising various clients in connection with local and international arbitration law issues.
