    The A&K Forensics team combines legal, accounting, investigative, risk & compliance and technology skillsets to provide an end-to-end solution for both private and public sector clients.     We are seeking to recruit high calibre, experienced professionals from Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal, Zambia, Dubai and Nigeria to fill the role of Manager – Forensics, Risk and Compliance.

    In more detail, the areas of responsibility include:

    • Conducting business development and onboarding of new clients with the goal of growing the practice.
    • Co-ordinating Forensics, Risk and Compliance assignments and ensuring that related objectives on such engagements are effectively met and adequately reported to the clients.
    • Being the main liaison/ contact for clients and managing such relationships, including all trainings required.
    • Managing projects to consistently achieve target revenue, profit objectives and deliver on such projects within the required timelines.
    • Providing technical knowledge and coaching to other staff as well as creating awareness on the Forensics Service offerings.
    • Actively involved in recruiting, staff development and practice management.

    This role has an increasing focus on business development activities.

    Experience and personal qualities

    The following experience is preferred:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Forensic Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field. A Diploma in a related field will be considered if combined with significant years of experience in a fast-paced Forensics and Investigations environment.
    • Professional qualifications in Forensics and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
    • At least five years’ experience in a fast-paced organisation within a Forensics and Investigations department.
    • Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision, manage multiple and shifting priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
    • Effective leadership experience in overseeing and managing the work of professionals in both direct and indirect reporting relationships.
    • Ability to use good judgement to analyse and problem solve to maintain and improve operational accuracy and efficiency.
    • Experience in developing and managing strong and complex relationships across countries as part of a centralized function and externally with multiple stakeholders.
    • Excellent project management skills.
    • Proficient in the use of IT Systems including Microsoft Office packages.

  2. 02Assistant Learning & Development Co-ordinator

    Roles and Responsibilities

    The Assistant Learning & Development Co-ordinator will provide support to the Learning & Development Deputy Manager/ Head of Knowledge Management on all Learning and Development matters within the Firm. The role will report to the Learning & Development Deputy Manager/ Head of Knowledge Management & Performance Improvement and will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

    In more detail, the areas of responsibility include:

    1. Supporting the Learning and Development Deputy Manager in developing and updating training content and materials and in the roll out of the annual training calendar.
    2. Collating the training needs for the firm.
    3. Maintaining up to date training records for the firm.
    4. Monitoring and updating professional qualifications for staff across the firm’s and facilitating the renewal of Lawyer practicing certificates.
    5. Providing guidance to staff on the approval process for professional course sponsorship within the Firm.
    6. Coordinating and organizing trainings i.e., booking training rooms and coordinating the set-up, following up on facilitators, maintaining attendance sheets etc.
    7. Maintain the AKI Learning Management System by uploading pre-existing content, users, system updates
    8. Assist with compiling L&D related reports.
    9. Providing general administrative and clerical support within the KM team.

    The role will report to the Head of Knowledge Management.

    The key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

    • Organising the knowledge management database in accordance with the standard Knowledge Management naming and tagging conventions, and marking maintained as well as archival database material
    • Identifying frequently used precedents and know-how and ensuring that they are updated within predefined timelines
