Roles and Responsibilities
The core areas of responsibility include:
- Maintain and update the organisation’s centralized knowledge repository with relevant legal precedents, templates, and best practices.
- Monitor and track new statutes, proposed legislation, special gazette notice and recent case law relevant to the organisation’s practice areas and sectors.
- Prepare and distribute timely alerts to lawyers and staff regarding significant legal developments.
- Manage hard copy resources, including physical libraries, legal texts, and archives, ensuring they are organised, accessible, and up-to-date.
- Manage soft copy resources, including digital databases, document management systems, and AI tools, ensuring they are organised, accessible, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with practice areas to understand their knowledge management needs and provide tailored support, including training and resource allocation.
- Assist in the creation of standardised templates, checklists, and other knowledge management resources.
- Monitor usage of the organisation’s knowledge management platforms and resources and maintain vendor relationships with the relevant service providers and industry specialists.
- Assist in the implementation of AI-driven tools for document automation, legal research and knowledge retrieval.
- Conduct training sessions for lawyers and staff on how to effectively use the organisation’s knowledge management systems and resources.
Experience and Personal Qualities

The following educational and work experience is preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Sciences, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a dynamic organisation (preferably within a law firm).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.

The role will be based in Nairobi, Kenya with potential to travel within East Africa.
