Recent Tax Developments for Private Equity & Venture Capital

The Finance Act of 2023 introduced changes to various tax laws in Kenya, some of which relate to the capital gains tax (CGT) regime. These changes will likely have a far-reaching effect on private equity funds investing in Kenya through offshore vehicles.

Informal Pre-Event to INC 3

We wish to invite you to participate at an informal pre-event to INC 3, trade and development aspects of plastic pollution mitigation measures, non-plastic substitutes, and plastic alternatives. The event organised by UNCTAD, ALN, and Delterra will be held on Sunday, 12 November 2023 from 10:00AM to 6:00PM (EAT).  A networking cocktail will follow. 

The event will bring together stakeholders within the INC process, including national authorities, international organisations, and private sector representatives. The discussions will focus on proposed control measures for plastic pollution, how best these measures can create a responsible and efficient plastic system while promoting safe and sustainable non-plastic substitutes, as well as alternatives and related financing and social impact aspects.
