Africa’s contribution to climate change is negligible. And yet, Africa faces a disproportionate burden and risk arising from changing weather patterns, which have a detrimental effect on biodiversity, food security, and public infrastructure, often causing significant loss to humans and property. Inclusive climate policies, that address the unique vulnerabilities of all stakeholders, are crucial to ensure equitable responses to climate resilience.
ALN Kenya Partner Faith Macharia will be speaking in a panel titled Equitable Climate Policies: The Role of Regulation and Law in Ensuring Equitable Responses to Climate Resilience on Tuesday, 24 September 2024 at the upcoming Sustainability Summit organised by CERTA. Faith will be joined by an exceptional lineup of speakers including,

- TheophileDusengimana –Social Risk, Management Specialist, Ministry of Environment, Rwanda
- Andreas Speiss – Founding Partner, Spieß Schumacher Schmieg, Germany
- Michael Butera – Chief Technical Advisor, Ministry of Justice, Rwanda
