Africa stands at a defining moment of transformation, where innovation, integration, and institutional reform are reshaping the continent’s economic and legal landscape. As markets deepen and cross-border collaboration accelerates, success will increasingly be defined by the ability to pair bold thinking with grounded local insight—delivering solutions that are technically sound, purpose-driven, and attuned to Africa’s diverse realities
Against this backdrop, we are proud to share that ALN and its member firms received 17 awards at the IFLR Africa Awards 2026, with ALN named Africa Legal Network of the Year. Our firms in Francophone Africa were also recognised under the Francophone Regional Award of the Year category, while our firms in Kenya, Mauritius, and Zambia were honoured as National Law Firms of the Year in their respective jurisdictions.
In addition, our member firms in Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, and Zambia received multiple accolades for their role in guiding clients through complex, high-impact transactions across the continent.
The awards also recognised outstanding individual achievement. ALN Kenya Partner Sonal Tejpar was inducted into the IFLR Women Dealmakers Hall of Fame for her lasting impact on the financial legal landscape. ALN Kenya Managing Partner Rosa Nduati-Mutero, BLC Robert & Associates Senior Partner Jean-Eric Sauzier, and ALN Zambia Co-Managing Partner Simon Kapampa were each named Lawyers of the Year in their respective jurisdictions, reflecting careers defined by deal-making excellence and pioneering legal insight. Shane Mungur, Senior Associate at BLC Robert & Associates, received the Rising Star: National award, highlighting the next generation shaping the future of legal practice.
We are grateful for our clients’ continued trust and partnership in delivering on Africa’s most complex matters. We also commend our member firms and legal teams whose professionalism, collaboration, and excellence continue to strengthen ALN’s influence across the continent.
