Halleluyah Omondi

Halleluyah is an Associate at ALN Tanzania | A&K Tanzania having joined the firm in November 2022. She has over two years of experience with the firm. Her areas of focus include corporate law, banking & finance, employment law, contract law, and probate matters in which she serves both as legal counsel and adviser.

Halleluyah completed her traineeship contract with A&K prior to qualifying as an associate in the firm. She previously worked as a clearing and forwarding agent at Johade Logistics Company Limited for two years.

Halleluyah is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Tumaini University Makumira.

• Acting for a pan-African private equity fund in connection withits proposed investment in a poultry business, including conducting a due diligence on the target operating companies in Tanzania.
• Acting for Africa50, an investment vehicle established by the African Development Bank bringing together funding for various infrastructure solutions in Africa, as African lead counsel, together with AfricInvest Group, a leading pan-African investment platform dedicated to supporting businesses that drive economic growth and social development and Ohara Pharmaceutical Co., in connection with conducting a due diligence on Africa Healthcare Network (AHN) (Target), a leading provider of dialysis services in Africa.
• Acting for a leading African private equity firm in connection with the acquisition of a minority stake in a financial banking group in Eastern Africa that holds banking institutions in five East African countries, including conducting due diligence, drafting the application letter to the Bank of Tanzania in respect of an indirect change of shareholding, and assisting in the application for merger clearance.
• Acting for TVS Motors India, a motorcycle manufacturer, in connection with trademark infringment claims and an application to the Fair Competition Commission in relation to raids conducted which led to the seizure of counterfeit products in the Tanzanian market.
• Acting for Raha Limited and Sanku PHC in connection with labour disputes at the Commission for Mediation and Arbitration.
• Advising a foreign lender in connection with facilities to a Tanzanian entity on the validity, enforceability and legality of security documents in relation to the facilities
• Acting for a fintech company in connection with market entry requirements, regulatory compliance and restrictions in relation to fintech and foreign exchange transactions.
• Assisting confidential clients in conducting forensic investigations in relation to alleged misconducts in companies.
