Nabila Mohamed

Nabila is an Associate in the Corporate Department at ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna. She primarily specializes in corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, competition law, capital markets, and general corporate and regulatory advisories.

She completed her training contract at the firm before qualifying as an Associate.

• Acting for Amsons Industries Kenya (Amsons), an investment vehicle incorporated for this transaction in connection with its public takeover and acquisition of 100% of Bamburi Cement (Bamburi), a leading cement and concrete producer in Eastern Africa owning and operating two cement plants in Kenya, supplying regional markets in Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda, South Sudan, and Tanzania.
• Acting for an Insurance Broker in Kenya on it’s sale of shares to a leading UK insurance company.
• Acting for a Japanese company in relation to its investment in a mining project in Kenya.

Competition

• Advising a UK based company on the competition implications on the proposed restructuring of it’s entities in Kenya.
• Acting for a UAE based company on the competition filing for it’s acquisition of shares in a financial instution in Kenya.

• Acting as lead counsel to a leading global logistics and international shipping company in relation to the introduction of a sustainable shipping option for its customers around Sub-Saharan Africa.

• Acting for a US based company on the dissolution of it’s Kenyan branch.
• Providing legal advice to a UK based company for the implementation of it’s parent contract in it’s schools in Nairobi.
• Advising a leading private company based in Uganda on the capital markets considerations for a potential listing on the NSE.
