  1. Background

    Kenneth is an Associate with the Litigation team. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with considerable experience in Debt Recovery, Property Conveyancing, banking litigation, Estate Planning and Succession, data protection, land litigation, corporate litigation and employment. He also has an interest in fintech, technology and innovation in law.

    Kenneth graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University and has a diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.

    • Acting for a transport and logistics company in connection with a debt recovery matter worth USD 1.8 million against a leading financial institution following fraudulent debits and withdrawals from their account.
    • Acting for BestPack Uganda, a packaging company, in connection with numerous debt recoveries valued at approximately USD 450,000.
    • Acting for Tata Uganda in connection with numerous debt recoveries valued at approximately USD 400,000.
    • Acting for Longhorn Publishers, aleading publisher of educational and creative books, in connection with numerous debt recoveries valued at the equivalent of USD 450,000

    Intellectual Property

    • Acting for Intel, an American multinational corporation and technology company, in connection with an action seeking orders inter alia to restrain Intel Computers Limited from using our client’s ’Intel’ trademark and dropped ‘e’ logo and to deliver for destruction all material bearing the Intel Computer Limited name, trademark, get-up, or any other material which infringes on the “Intel” trademark.
    • Acting for 18 financial institutions in connection with a copyright infringement suit in which the Plaintiffs allege that the Banks infringed on their copyright by rolling out agent assisted financial services and use of Point of Sale based technology platforms for agency banking.

    • Acting for an international energy fund in connection with a suit against a labour claim in excess of USD 1 million by a former employee in the senior management team.
