ALN Kenya has been featured in the 2022 Integrity Index by the British Chamber of Commerce Kenya (BCCK). It features companies in Kenya, that are committed to business integrity and met the benchmarks of BCCK’s principles-based framework.
“Being listed in BCCK’s Integrity Index for the second year goes to show we are committed to preserving our reputation as a firm. Our Corporate Governance structure is built on Integrity as one of the anchor values and we strive to ensure that we meet the highest levels of individual and professional ethical conduct in everything we do while continuing to sustain our leading status in both work delivery and client service.” – Rosa Nduati – Mutero
This year the index features 54 companies that completed the nomination and self-assessment process. They are drawn from across 34 different sectors and vary in size from three to 3,000 employees. Companies were assessed on their track record of working with UK and International companies and their documented policies and procedures. The Index features nominated and vetted companies who embrace the BCCK’s integrity principles.
“As one of the leading firms we are mindful of the way we do our business and maintaining our positive reputation is key. Integrity is a guiding principle that helps us to adhere to the highest standards of business behaviour that helps us not only do our work right but also run a trusted and ethical business.” – Daniel Ngumy
The BCCK has also launched a Sales and Marketing Leaders Playbook, which details the practical measures that help companies make the most of their Index listing to grow their business. These are all linked to the BII’s six core integrity principles: proportionate procedures, top-level commitment, risk assessment, due diligence, communication and training, monitoring and review.
Farida Abbas, CEO, British Chamber of Commerce Kenya says, “Despite the headlines, there are many businesses in Kenya that are operating with integrity. They have made a conscious and often tough decision not to engage in corruption and bribery. The Integrity Index gives organisations and BCCK members a chance to appreciate their local partners and suppliers. Working together, we can show that integrity delivers sustainable economic payback for everyone.”
