Progressing Projects in a High-Cost Environment
ALN hosted an engaging and thought-provoking interactive panel session titled “Progressing Projects in a High-Cost Environment?” during the 2024 Africa Energy Forum. The session explored crucial questions surrounding navigating the continent’s power markets. Participants explored the outlook for corporate PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements), examining how to navigate challenges currently impeding project efforts.
Additionally, they discussed how key players can strike a balance in the pace of the green transition. The panel also debated the impact of moving away from purely sovereign PPAs and whether the move can improve investment risks.
