Kawthur has provided tailored legal advice to a wide range of clients on both domestic and international companies across various sectors such as hospitality, telecommunications, and energy on business law matters and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, equity investments and divestments in a broad range of sectors, and also assists clients in general corporate matters, restructurings and business law matters.

She also advises on trusts law corporate governance, regulatory compliance matters and the setting up of employee share incentive plans.

She has advised multinational listed and private corporate clients, financial sponsors and private equity funds on a range of transactions including acquisitions, equity capital raisings, corporate restructurings, and business law matters. Among her recent transactions, she has assisted IHS Holding Limited in connection with the migration of its corporate seat from Mauritius to Cayman Islands and the migration of its tax status to the United Kingdom for the purposes of an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange.

She has advised the Seven Energy Group on its sale to the Savannah Petroleum Group which was awarded “Restructuring Deal of the Year” at the inaugural IFLR Sub-Saharan Africa Awards.

She has recently advised a USA incorporated multinational corporation, and a technology pioneer with market leadership in conversational Artificial Intelligence and ambient intelligence on regulatory compliance matters.

Additionally, she assisted a global impact investor on its strategic partnership with a global investment company which was structured as a USD 500 million multi-fund investment.
