Monisha Ayadassen

Monisha is an Associate at BLC Robert & Associates and has been a member of the M&A and Corporate & Commercial practice area since October 2023. She joined the firm in June 2022 as a pupil barrister in the Banking & Finance practice group and successfully completed her pupillage.

She advises on a wide array of corporate matters, including restructuring and other business law matters, both on a domestic and cross-border level. She is heavily involved in drafting and in reviewing investment documentation and she also occasionally lends support in regulatory & compliance matters, including data protection.

Monisha recently advised an African-based investment firm on the partial disposal of its investment in a South-African courier company to a consortium of institutional investors and DFIs. She also was involved in the drafting of the subscription and shareholders’ agreement relating to the first round of fundraising for an African-based cold chain company.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class) from Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II and a Master of Laws with distinction from University of Law.

• Advising an Australian-based mining company in connection with its potential acquisition of shares in a Mauritian company and the tax treatment of certain income received by the Mauritian company under its commercial arrangements.
